Traccar 6.12

Traccar GPS server version 6.12.x is now available for download.

This release includes major improvements in trip processing, reporting, notifications, and overall platform reliability.

The most significant update is the new trip calculation logic. You can find more details in the trips documentation. Please test the new logic and share your feedback. It is planned to replace the old logic soon, so early feedback is especially valuable.

Other notable changes in this release:

• Added WhatsApp notification support.
• Added per-geofence notification settings.
• Added searchable select fields for report filtering.
• Reports now show all devices by default when none are selected.
• Added a geofences report.
• Added geofence, driver, and motion display options for the device list on the main screen.
• Implemented a device activity timeline.
• Added geofence floor and ceiling attributes.
• Removed web throttling.
• Multiple security fixes.
• Removed default TimescaleDB retention.
• Many smaller protocol fixes and general improvements.

There is one new communication protocol in this release: Smartcar, a service that enables direct vehicle integrations.
