Traccar 6.14

Traccar GPS server version 6.14.x is now available for download.

The headline change in this release is a major performance overhaul on both the app and the server. The web app now lazy loads heavy code, which reduces the initial download size by roughly 90%. On the server side, there are many large and small performance improvements. The most significant one is support for batching database writes, which addresses the main bottleneck in the system. Stability has also been improved with thread safety fixes, cleanup of stale connection sessions, and a larger default database connection pool size.

Other notable changes in this release:

• Resizable map in reports.
• Connection status events are now disabled by default to avoid spamming the database and users.
• Added a map ruler tool for measuring distances.
• Added support for snapping locations to roads.
• Improved map controls.
• Added user device count.
• Implemented support for KML styling.
• Added support for channels in video streaming.
• Added KML and KMZ export.
• Added chart report export.
• Added support for PMTiles map layers.
• A number of security improvements, mostly around DDoS protection.

There are three new communication protocols in this release: Xexun v3 binary protocol, Radshid (a GPS tracking company from Iran), and R16H ankle bracelet.
