Best car tracking device-Expert recommendations to choose.

habib4 days ago

I researched the best GPS trackers for vehicles as my car insurance company suggested using one for added safety and theft protection. i have been experiencing a lot of stress lately because my neighborhood has seen a rise in car break-ins. i went through reviews from trusted sources like Automo Blog and Car and Driver and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:
GPS Tracker for Vehicles

LandAirSea 54 GPS Tracker

however, i am having trouble deciding which one would be better for me and i would love to get your expert advice and hoping maybe some car owners or people who’ve used these trackers on this forum can also share their advice.
i usually park on the street overnight, so something reliable and easy to monitor from my phone would be ideal. do you think the first GPS tracker would be more dependable, or is the LandAirSea 54 the better option for everyday use?
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Teltonika

My business uses Teltonika devices exclusively. If you buy the FMC130 you can add 1-Wire authentication (iButton or RFID) and a relay to block engine starting unless authorised. Very, very simple to do.

You can even do the authentication using iBeacon or Eddystone Bluetooth beacons but the security is less.

since most of the reviews I found were about the other two options. From what I understand teltonika seems to be more of a professional grade tracker that is often used in fleet management do you think it would still be a good fit for an individual car owner who just wants theft protection and real time tracking through a phone app.

That is really interesting thanks for sharing your experience Thefmc130 sounds like it has a lot of extra features beyond just tracking. For a personal car owner like me though do you think it might be a bit overkill compared to something simpler like the LandAirSea 54?

I like the idea of adding engine block or authorization for extra security but I am not sure if the setup would be straightforward for someone who is not running a fleet or a business.
