Freematics Configuration

Steps to configure a Freematics device using the Visual Studio Code IDE:

• Install Visual Studio Code
• Install PlatformIO plugin for VS Code
• Download Freematics firmware source code
• Import firmware_v5/telelogger project
• Update config.h (see details below)
• Connect Freematics device via USB
• Click upload button to flash the firmware

Configuration

Device configuration is done via the config.h file. Here are the most common parameters you might be interested in:

• #define CELL_APN "hologram" Your network provider APN
• #define SERVER_HOST "demo.traccar.org" Server domain or IP address
• #define SERVER_PORT 5170 Server port (5170 is the default port for Freematics in Traccar)

Make sure you also configure modem, GPS and other details based on your hardware.
