Traccar Client version 3.2 for Android is now available on Google Play. There were no updates for a while because the Client app was mostly stable and the development focus was on improving server side, but now it's time to introduce some improvements to app as well.
Version 3.2 includes following key changes:
Material design is a design concept developed by Google and announced on June 25, 2014. The theme is available in Android 5.0 (API level 21) and above, so Traccar Client will now use Material Design light theme for newer Android versions and it will continue to use Holo Light theme for older devices.
New round Traccar logo was developed primarily for the new website, but it will be used for all apps as well. Traccar Client 3.2 for Android includes it in all required sizes including extra high resolution ones for phones with high density displays like Nexus 6 and LG G3. Traccar Client for iOS will be updated soon as well.
There is also an important change in the location provider logic. Previously the app was using current time set on the phone to determine GPS location freshness and it would ignore all locations if the time was incorrect. Now it uses GPS fix time from the previous location which should fix this problem.
