Calamp LMU-4230 serial input configuration.

I'm trying to receive a serial (rs232) message from a F9R device on my Calamp lmu4230. I'm having no luck receiving the message. I confirm the F9R is outputting the correct message in a terminal window. I'm not really what settings I need to make in the configuration file for the 4230 to have it recognize the message from the F9R. Any suggestions? thanks

I'm not sure we support serial data. What data type is it? Do you have the protocol documentation and some message samples?
