Analog Fuel Sensor Calibration Problem – Engine Won’t Start Below 50L

Abdul10 days ago

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to calibrate an analog fuel sensor connected to an FMC125 using AIN1. The issue is that this truck’s engine will not start unless there is at least 50 liters in the tank. Because of that, I can’t collect any sensor values (in mV) from 0–40 liters.

Right now, the only readings I can measure are from 50L up to full, in steps of 10–20 liters.

My questions are:

Will the calibration still be accurate if I start the calibration table from 50L instead of 0L?
Are there any recommended methods to safely calibrate the 0–40L range when the vehicle can’t run at low fuel levels?

It should be fine.

Hi Abdul.

You can calibrate from 0 to full anyway, regardless of the trucks issue
