does Traccar support eSky Wireless ES821 ?

DB2 years ago

In 'Supported Devices' the only tracker from eSky Wireless I can see is ES610 which uses port 5147

I tried configuring eSky Wireless ES821 to the same port in demo server www.demo3.traccar.org:5147 but it stays offline.

I noticed on other tracking servers where ES821 is supported, they use a different port to ES610 which implies the protocol is different.

Has anyone successfuly configured ES821 with Traccar?

Do you have the protocol documentation?

By the way, there is no www.demo3.traccar.org. It's just demo3.traccar.org.

here is the protocol document for ES821:

thanks for the tip re server name - I tried using IP address as & various ports as well, eg: 95.217.199.208:5015

I think port 5147 should work for it.

I am trying 95.217.199.208:5147 but it stays offline

As a test I configured the ES821 to send data to ip2.gps-server.net:10403 & it came online on that tracking server, so I think the issue is that Traccar doesn't support the protocol of ES821

The only way to confirm this is by checking the logs.

DB2 years ago

how can the logs be checked in demo server?

Anton Tananaev2 years ago

Obviously you can't get an access to the demo server logs.

DB2 years ago

ok, I'll use a different tracking server instead

@DB, try port 5191 and use UDP.

DB2 years ago

thanks for the suggestion, I tried that port with UDP but it's still offline

@DB, maybe you can send this command to check if can get the netowork first "AT+QNWINFO"

network connectivity is good - I can send SMS command & get a response, also I configured the ES821 to send data to a different tracking server & it came online on that tracking server, so I think the issue is that Traccar doesn't support ES821 protocol

I'm almost certain that the protocol you provided is supported by Traccar.
