version 6.0 docker builds

I have answered my other question myself by building v6.0 image in docker and switching to this image. Seems to work fine.
one more quick question in my preferences on the server, it now shows
Server Version = 6.0
App Version = 5.12
What is the App Version and do I need to update this?
You can see there is server software to compile and also the web app part.

If you just upgraded traccar server the web app should be installed (refresh browser cache).
If you compiled traccar server you should also compile the web app and replace it in modern directory.

I'm new to using Traccar but have it working well in a docker container for a few weeks.
I see there is a new version (v6.0) and wanted to understand if the new docker builds will be updated soon.
If not, can I just go ahead and build v6.0 myself from the dockerfile (by changing the environment variable to 6.0 in the dockerfile)?
I was also looking for a change log or summary of what's new in version 6
