Hello World!

I've been working on new gps device that will be integrated with traccar apps.

This is the image of the device:

The problem is i cant find the device on protocol device list, and google search engine doesn't seems to work as well. :(

my question is:

  1. Which port should i use for unknown device?
  2. If unknown device can't work with any protocol, can i add a custom protocol on traccar by modifying the source code?

Thank You! :)

Edit: After breaking the device apart, i find out that the device model is TK800B. But the device doesnt seem to work with any TK protocol in the devices list

  1. You would need to provide protocol documentation or at least some message samples.
  2. Yes, of course.

I have just received a DAKWIT (£29). Looks like a good solid unit with supposedly 3 months standby time. It's magnetic so will pop on the car easily.

I use port 5002 and the protocol is tk103

Hope that helps.
