Is it not configurable on the device itself? It can't use the same id?
I assume they are 2 separate devices, the Teltonika unit and the Satellite unit connected to it (usually Iridium).
They are two different devices: one is a Teltonika FMC125 and the other is an Iridium Edge satellite device. Each has a different IMEI and sends data packets independently. Therefore, we will need to register two separate devices in Traccar to receive the data. Additionally, the Iridium satellite protocol is not supported by Traccar, or it appears to have issues with decoding the data.
Logs?
I don’t have the logs available at the moment since the device has been disconnected. We’ll try to reconnect it and share the logs here once they’re available. In the meantime, could you please suggest possible solutions or best practices for handling such scenarios?
If the device supports custom ids, that's something you can try.
As far as I know, neither Teltonika nor the Iridium satellite edge device supports overriding IDs.
We are using Teltonika FMC125 with Iridium satellite fallback.
GSM and satellite paths report different IMEIs, so Traccar creates two devices for the same tracker.
Has anyone handled this inside Traccar (e.g. IMEI normalization in decoder or similar)?
We want to avoid external brokers like Flespi.
Any recommended approach?
