Huabao Protocol and YG-119 Tracker, getting more data from HEX and Send Commands

Xrsprinta day ago

Hello Everyone
i have setup a YG-119 tracker in Traccar and is working fine under the Huabao Protocol, however on the default tracking software that is provided, it shows the battery status, and also allows me to send commands to the device over data to change the polling interval and working mode.

now im not the greatest with hex and not an expert in this, so im after some guidance in any way, shape or form.
so the hex data i get from the device every time it polls is

so with the above, how would i find what bits in the hex show the battery level? and how would i then be able to put this in traccar to know how to decode it as a battery level?

i am still waiting for the seller to see if they can send me a protocol document, but all i have found online is this following link which im not 100% sure if correct, but it does show a battery parameter
https://flespi.com/protocols/cantrack#parameters

i know that at time time of posing this, the other website was showing the battery at 89-91 % so not sure if this helps

also i know i can send a sms to the unit and give it the following commands
working mode
mod(password) 0

Polling iterval (2 seconds)
itv(password) 2

the new sim card i will be getting for this device will not allow SMS, so is there a way that this can be sent over data, or would it need to be in HEX to send these commands

thanks in advance for any advise, but unfortunatley after hours of AI and looking at chinese websites, im no closer in solving this

Thanks

You definitely need to get the protocol documentation first.

Hi Anton

I received the document and it appears to be huabao JT808 protocol

I have read through it and honestly have no idea where to start, as I think this is a bit out of my league.

is there any type of paid services that someone at traccar can make it work? or something similar?

Cheers
