I'm very new here and I'd like to add a device I bought to traccar. I saw that someone managed to connect it. I can't find how to add a device into traccar. I miss the SMS command to do so and I got issues wrapping my head arround with what connects to what.
So far I suppose my device connects to 365gps server to report location. Is traccar an alternative ? I did self host it, do I have to open ports into my NAT for this to work ? What command should I send my device ? Domain names are resolved too ?
I'm sorry for all those questions but I really couldn't find anything except how to install the server.
For information, I'm running the traccar server on a raspberry pi using the Home Assistant Addon.
Traccar is alternative. Of course you need port to be open to receive connections. For other questions you should check device manual or ask device vendor support.
First you need to point your device (ZX303) to your traccar server. I think there is a documentation for your device.

and your device must reply "OK".
Note: Your device sim must have a load for this to work.
