What kind of rollover is this? And what is the recommended fix by the vendor?
I've had this problem since 2025; it only happened to me once before with another ST-906, and this is what the seller told me:
Me: Once again, a GPS has the wrong date, but this one is different from the previous one. Could you please give me some way to fix it?
Vendor: Hi. This is new tracker or old tracker?
Me: Old tracker.
Vendor: Sorry for that. Old tracker, we have no idea now. There was a data loss incident during our studio relocation. I can sure new trackers no problem
I solved it with the help of this thread, by changing the protocol to h02. However, the question remains: when the ST-906 positions arrive in the buffer, how will they appear in Traccar, all with the same date and time?
If you override the time with the server one, obviously the positions will have the server time when they were received.
From January 1, 2026, some SINOTRACK ST906 equipment will revert to January 2019. The Traccar 6.11.1 platform shows the correct location, but the date and time are outdated (2019).
