I am testing a SEEWORLD P2 pet tracker and I would like to connect it to my own JT808 server.
SEEWORLD sent me the official P2 command list. The command for changing the server IP is:
IP,123456,<IP>,<PORT>
However, my device responds:
Setting IP failed. This feature is locked.
The APN configuration is also locked with the same type of message.
I contacted SEEWORLD directly, and they confirmed that the APN and IP/server settings cannot be unlocked.
The P2 is nevertheless supported by Flespi and other third-party JT808 platforms, so I am wondering if anyone has found a way to change the server address despite this restriction.
Has anyone successfully changed the IP/server address of a SEEWORLD P2 to their own server?
I am particularly interested in any solution involving:
- SMS commands
- JT808 commands
- Flespi
- Traccar
- Serial/UART/COM access
- Configuration/debug tools
- Firmware or OEM configuration
I am not looking for a generic SEEWORLD command list; I specifically need to know whether anyone has managed to bypass or modify the locked IP/server setting on the P2.

Normally you would flash the firmware or the manufacturer could set the ip for you before shipment. But i expect they will only provide the tools or change the firmware when you are a big client.
