First of all, you cannot use both Traccar and Firebase notifications at the same time. They will conflict.
Also for Firebase to work, you have to have your own mobile apps. Have you created those?
Hello Anton.
I should have said that I saw the information on the personal creation of the client application but... I really don't know anything about it.
Now with detailed and clear explanations I might be able to get there, but with the information I saw on the forum, I didn't understand anything.
The big problem above all is that I don't know how to speak, read and write in English. I use direct translation so the terms used and translated unfortunately do not have the same definition and this sometimes leads to confusion.
If you plan to use official apps, you can use Traccar notification option. So you don't need Firebase.
The problem I have is that when the application is in the background, I don't receive any notifications... Is it possible to make settings somewhere to have them?
That sounds like a problem with your phone. Push notifications will work in the background as well, unless you explicitly kill the app.
I will look closely tomorrow at the configuration of Traccard manager on my mobile phone. but I'm sure background usage is enabled. now is there a configuration in the application itself to have notifications?
It's Traccar, not Traccard. Can you explain your full setup. You have a custom app with Firebase, right? Please provide full details.
Hello Anton
I only use the normal version (Traccar client and Traccar manager on the Google store).
I wrote traccard, but it was really Traccar that I wanted to write. :-D
My configuration is like the one in the links above.
I have the traccard client on my S24 (Battery not restricted, Deletion if app not used => OFF).
Traccar Manager (Battery not restricted, Deletion if app not used => OFF, notification authorized, Suspend aooki activity if not used => OFF).
On the S24 (Energy saving => OFF)
Based on what you advised me, I deleted all the notification systems apart from the traccar notifications.
I hope that answers your question
You can't use your own Firebase project with official apps. Not sure how you expected it to work.
Hello Anton.
I thought that with an in-app installable plugin system it would work. We often see this in different applications and it makes it easier to use.
Now I understand traccar's policy and this is in no way a criticism.
I'm going to try to find where the problem of notifications not received on Android comes from (with traccar notifications) which I receive well in the application, but not directly on Android.
It has nothing to do with any plugin system.
Hello everyone
first of all a big thank you for this application that I discovered recently.
I installed the server version on a dl 380 g7 and I have no problems running it, but only problems with the configuration.
I've searched the forum, but I can't find any answers that I can understand.
I know linux, but nothing in programming and Traccard is a lot of programming :-D.
I don't understand the system for sending notifications whether by traccard, Firebase or telegram that I implemented on the server and which seem to be well configured.
The only notifications I receive are via the Traccard manager application, but only when the application is open on my mobile and in the foreground (apparently that's how it works).
On Firebase, I don't receive any notifications, despite a good configuration in the configuration file.
I suspect that this is not a server tracker problem but a problem that comes from me.
As I said, this is a new system for me, so I must have missed something, so can you help me with this task?
