Many thanks Anton you are the greatest. You saves the day. I hope every one will be happy now with this working version finally. With user configurable setting options base on individual users use case needs. Thank you for preserving users previous custom settings as the upgraded apk installs. Good thinking.
Yes, I notice Google takes three days to approve your previous updated apk.
Yeah, Google has been slow for some reason. But usually it's pretty quick.
As of this moment of posting 15 June 2025 Android version at Playstore is still on Traccar Client version 9.1.0
Yes, it is still waiting for review.
At the moment of waiting Goigle release at PlayStore. I just download the traccar client apk file and install over the old version on my phone. Strangely it retains all the previous configured old settings with the new setting option features appearing. Great job Anton.
That is expected because it has the same signature, so Android just thinks that it's an update. Doesn't matter that it's not coming from Google Play.
Bump into this Battery Usage Report for your analysis if useful.
This is my final setup configuration parameters which works wonderfully just like regular GPS hardware device tracker as intended for effecient battery power consumption. Thanks Anton for your most wonderful guide in the oprimal setup recomendations.
So with the distance set to 1m it will always use fastest interval to determine when to get a GPS reading. Correct?
Phone device need to move by 1m to trigger sending of high precision gps data to server. If distance is set to 0m then only 30 second fastest interval will be used to send data.
