Traccar Client 9.5.0

Hi Anton, thx! I have just tried it on iOS 18.6, unfortunatly it does not work for me.

"To clear app data and cache on an iOS device, you can offload or delete the app, which removes associated data and cache. Alternatively, you can clear browser data like history and website data. There isn't a single "clear cache" button for all apps, so you need to manage it on an app-by-app basis.
Here's a breakdown of the methods:
Offloading or Deleting Apps:
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
Select the app you want to clear.
Tap Offload App to remove the app but keep its documents and data, allowing reinstallation later with the same settings.
Alternatively, tap Delete App to completely remove the app and all its data. "

This likely means your settings are persisted in iCloud and restored when you re-install the app.

Ok I checked it in the cloud and it was in fact as APP-Backup activated, but even deactivating it and reinstalling does still not work !?

Anton Tananaev2 days ago

Actually wait. The password is probably in the keychain, not app settings.

CharlieHarpers2 days ago

Hm… no it seems it is not in the keychain…

We use flutter_secure_storage, which under the hood uses Keychain on iOS.

Something is wrong with stop detection with one of my devices as I previously reported that sometimes once it goes into motion state it never reverts back to stationary mode even after being stationary for a while. This isn't affecting all devices so I am still trying to figure out what is causing this. According to the change log of 9.5.x you mentioned that turning off so detection while in highest accuracy should always keep the app in motion state. But in that survive device I mentioned, when I turn off so detection the continuous tracking's button remains red (which It shouldn't as per my understanding). Am I right? Still trying to figure out the root cause of this issue by testing multiple scenarios

Anton Tananaev2 days ago

Yes, if you disable stop detection, it should never go into stationary mode.

Antony2 days ago

And if it was already in stationary mode? Will it switch to moving mode?

Anton Tananaev2 days ago

In theory it should.

Anton Tananaev2 days ago

Have you tried turning tracking off and on again?

Antony2 days ago

It never switches to moving state no matter what when I turn off stop detection on that specific device which is running on pure stock Android 12. Keeping stop detection off and the turning off continuous tracking and then on, doesn't force it to go into moving state (button remains red).

Very odd. What does it say in the logs? By the way, I recommend moving to a separate thread.

Apologies it took a while to start the other thread and include the logs but was getting http 429 when posting the new thread. However I have managed to create a new thread now. For reference : https://www.traccar.org/forums/topic/inconsistent-stop-detection-on-95x-on-some-devices/

Hi, ok got it, but there will be no solution soon to reset the password e.g with Face-ID etc.?! Because right now I cannot use the app.
