Hi! Face-ID is also used in Banking Apps, so why should be that defeat the purpose?! Anyway there must be a workaround to reset the password soon. Current situation is, forgetting the password or typing only once the password increase the wrong password cases and makes the app useless.
I think you don't understand the purpose of this feature. It is so the phone user can't fiddle with the settings. The idea is that, for example, you are and employer and you provide your employees with corporate devices and want to track location. It could be some kind of delivery service. So phone users have full access to those devices, including face id, of course. But you don't want them to be able to be able to change any tracking settings.
In the next release there will be an option to send factory reset command, which will reset the password.
Ok, you are right, in this case, employeers should be not able to edit anything important. Ok got it! Cool to hear next release will have a reset option! Thx
I couldn't find a thread for 9.5.1, but since a recent update on Android I keep getting push notifications telling me that tracking is enabled. Can this behaviour be changed? I want the client to be silent and invisible and only notify me if tracking has for some reason been switched off.
I could turn off notifications for the app completely, but then I'd get nothing. I'd much prefer to only be notified if there's a problem, not if it's working and doing its job.
I think it's actually something Google did. I noticed foreground notification pop up for some other apps as well.
But in the next release we have some changes that should hopefully make it better.
Awesome, thanks Anton.
Being able to reset using face id would defeat the purpose. The idea is that the iPhone user can't change settings without knowing the password. Not sure what the best solution is. Maybe we can have a command to reset it from the server.
