The replay can show you a route on the map. Is that not what you're looking for?
Unfortunately, no.
Actually, there are three stops on the 6 km route, and it's difficult to keep to the schedule because of traffic.
So, we were thinking of setting up a system that allows people to scan a QR code at the 'train' stop and see where the train is on the map, along with a colored line showing the route it takes, to have a better idea in how long it will be there.
That's why I wanted to create a KML file with icons for the stops that will appear on the map.
At the moment, I have to say that the system is working really well on my test server, but I'm struggling to finalize it while also hiding the left-hand menu and preventing the map of the city (where this little tourist train operates) from being panned/moved.
Thank you.
This sounds like something very custom. We can provide professional services if you're interested. Email support if you are.
For the QR code, it's a QR that contains the web link to the map in public access mode, which already exists in the system.
For the rest, it's just support for a KML file.
After that, I was thinking of suggesting this because I volunteer to manage this little tourist train, and the service will end this year on December 28, 2025.
It might come back next year, but I have no budget for it; I'm not even paid for the service I provide to the town every weekend.
I'll talk to them about it...
Thank you
We do have support for KML as a POI layer.
Hello, I've been racking my brain for hours trying to figure out how to draw a route on the map that will be followed by a little tourist train.
I'm looking for a way to import a KML file with the stops, the route path, etc., but no luck so far...
Would anyone know how to help me ?
I have got the version 6.11.1 installed on Debian 13 using the executable binary directly.
Thank you.
