Vehicle is online but positions are more than 8 hours old

Hi.

Traccar is working great, i am using Traccar and exporting data to another server with the API to process and make reports.

Some vehicles are not recording positions, but are marked as online, this always happens when the car is stopped in the same location between 2 and 6 hours, for example if a vehicle is reporting the same position for over 4 hours traccar are not recording new positions but the vehicle is marked as online even when several hours has passed since last position register.

The questions are these:

  1. There is some type of filtering active by default in traccar? (i don't think this is because the position stop in irregular intervals, sometimes after 2 hours, sometimes after 6 hours)

  2. Is posible that the GPS do a "ping" but not send location? (i think this is posible, it will explain the situation, but this is not documented in the gps's docs, somebody knows if some gps do that?)

Any ideas of what i can try will be great.

Some GPS trackers contain a feature where the GPS update is suppressed when the platform is not moving - this prevents erroneous GPS locations being generated and reported to the server.
