Server crashes when i try to change parameters on "config file'' traccar.xml

When i change parameters in that file and i have to reboot the server for the changes to take effect, my server will not run the services any more after reboot. i tried to add an smpt server for email alerts, but whatever i try to change i end up with the same results..
Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

First of all you should check logs and see what the problem actually is.
