I am brand new to Traccar, so sorry if my questions seem very basic....
I've installed the app on my Android phone and entered the identifier on the server, which can see it, but says it's "OFFLINE".
The phone sees the network but continues to send "SEND FAILED" messages.
I checked the config file that came with the installer and it has the following settings:

true

8082

./web

I opened all port on the server for incoming and outgoing calls...
I also cleared ports 5000-5180 on the router just in case...
Then I checked https://www.traccar.org/port-check/, but it too says that the "ports are closed"
Clearly I am doing something wrong and would love some help to find out what it is.....
Thanks in advance to anyone who can spare a few minutes for me....
Best to all
Is service listening on those ports? Do you have public IP address? Have you opened ports on router?
Hi Anton,
I did do that on the router as mentioned above (I also cleared ports 5000-5180 on the router just in case...), but made no difference
I have now reopened all ports on win10 firewall and also on the router (5000-5180), still no difference...
I have also tried both ip addresses for the server (which ping normally), as given on myip.org and from the router...
Do you actually have a public IP address?
Wow, please disregard all of the above...
It is now working.
I will work my way back to see where the error was....
Thanks Anton
