Okay fair enough thanks for your help with the key. If anyone else knows Tasker a bit better than I do, and can see what I'm missing. Please let us know

I got it working. Apparently Tasker has an option specifically to pass intents. Here's the working task. This is just the start task but simply change true to false and it's working. Thank you again so much for your help.

I know this is an old thread, but i share my info if anyone needs it since this is the first result on Google.
In Tasker

Add action: Send Intent
Extra "action:start", or "action:stop"
Package: "org.traccar.client"
Class: "org.traccar.client.ShortcutActivity"
Target: Activity

Thank you for replying to an old thread. This work perfectly, I can now stop Traccar when I get home, avoiding lots of GPS entries and GPS errors. I added an Exit Task to turn it back on when I disconnect from WiFi.
