No connection with server

Hi,

I installed Traccar as docker image on my Synology.
Did the following port setup:
Local port==Container port
55055==55055
8082== 8082

I forwarded the ports in my router and opened up the firewall for these.
Via IE I can log in to the webpage of Traccar port 8082.
I then installed the client on my cell phone pointing to my local Synology IP:55055 but no messages coming in. (send error in logging client app)
I used the demo.traccar.org address in the cell phone which was successful.
Used a port scan to see if 55055 is open and that is OK.

Am I missing some setting?

Thanks and best regards,
Rogier

Hello Anders,

Can you explain me the relation between the tracker port (different port numbers) and the server port?

Thanks

I'm a bit lost there. Looking to the device list using different ports, does that mean all those ports on firewall need to be open depending on which device you use?
What about the tracker setting were you specify the URL and port?

Different protocols usedifferent ports in traccar. I only open the ports that our devices use. I also take away the device/port list in traccar.xml that we dont use.
The server port is the port the backend web server respond to. It can be changed in the traccar.xml. Default is 8082

ok, and do you then in your router forward the device port (ex. 5012) to the server port 8082?

Obviously not. Each external port has to be forwarded to corresponding internal port.
