Traccar website wakes Tracker?

Traccar doesn't send any commands by itself.

It reacts on various commands, but I cannot got to factory defaults, because my SIM has no SMS function, so I have to control it by gprs.
There a simple way to solve this issue: I recommend that you install a SIM Card with SMS and send the correct comand to your device.
What is the difference between a SMS command and the GPRS (data) commands I use currently?
The command I use gives me an "Sleep OK" message back
In effect, there´s no one difference.
Keep in mind that Traccar don´t keep your device alive. If it is not sleeping, check your device.

Hi,
I sent the command "sleepin123456" to my tracker, and the tracker reacts with "sleep OK"
However, I keep seeing the tracker as online. (every 5 minutes an update) which drains my battery much to soon.
I contacted support of the tracker and they tell me the tracker only wakes up if it gets a command.
Now the Question: Does the tracker website keeps the tracker alive? does it sents a command? if so, how can I dissable this, or change this so the tracker lives longer on a battery charge.?
