Follow not working on Demo4 server

Hi. I have selected 'follow' in the settings tab but when viewing the device in the demo4 server (modern interface) it doesn't follow the device. Is there a problem with this?

On the desktop version of the software it works ok but not on mobile. I have two links below, one showing the mobile app version and the other just using the browser. I also note that the mobile app seems to freeze on the same update if left running in the background and it will not refresh unless I close the app then reopen it.

Closing the popup removes the device selection.

Thank you for your reply. I understand now that I need to keep the pop up open to follow the device but I'm still having a problem with the app not refreshing. I followed a device for a short period this morning then went on to use another app but left Traccar app running in the background. I clicked to access the Traccar app again about an hour later and it remained stuck on the last update it received an hour earlier. How can I get the app to auto refresh the data? Do you have to close the app then reopen it every time you want to check your device location?

Screenshot below shows phone time at 09:56 but the app last update is stuck on 08:30
