After checking the logs I noticed that a user was able to delete the notifications for everyone. The user has no administrator rights.
How can this be resolved?
As editing of a post is not possible on this forum I reply to my own thead in the search of a solution.
I know that you can attach notifications to a user or a device. The notifications were coupled to the users and apparently, as stated above, one user can modify or delete this for everyone. I put a user to read-only he cannot change his password anymore which I find a bit drastic.
In the documentation I found this kind of information as well and there is proposed to copy the notications for each user. This way each user has his own notifications.
As I want a plug and play product I wanted to set this for the users so they do not have to change anything anymore.
To resolve the issue I tried to add the notification to the device and put the device in read only. I do get a web notification but the mail notification does not work. Did anyone found a workaround for this?
You have to create separate notifications for each user instead of sharing the same instance between users.
Hello,
I know this explication might be a bit vague but it's because I have no idea what caused it.
In my account there are about 20 users and none of the others is an admin. For each account I attach a towing notification and a exit geofence notification.
This way clients can set up there own Geofences and the server starts reporting to them.
Today I wanted to create a new user and noticed that I could not select any notifications. When I check on the notifications page, all notifications are gone. I've already restarted the server but they are not coming back.
What could be causing this issue?
