2 bugs in traccar for android
If I understand correctly, this happens once on setup and you can always just restart the app to resolve the issue. Correct?

I have obtained the logs from an impacted device with the gps being kept constantly on by traccar for over an hour despite being completely still and the logs shows activity is still with confidence of 100, the moment traccar continuous tracking is turned off the gps is no longer used on the device for more info about what else gets it fixed, refer to the second point in the first message in this thread.
Anything else I should be looking at in the logs that can help ?
also noticed that ismoving is always true in the logs !? Despite traccar showing detected activity still with confidence 100 and stop detection on .

If it doesn't work as expected, there's probably some bug in the library.
It must be a bug in this case. What do you need in order to reach the library's developer out? Do you need the full logs ?

But didn't seem like the developer responded to it. But since you are paying for the library maybe you have a way of reaching him out, let me know if there is any extra info that you need in case you can reach him out
You should be able to submit an issue there directly.
The developer confirmed it is a bug but will be addressed in 5.0.x which is currently in beta. Hopefully will be pushed to production soon

Btw chris ( the library developer) is wondering if the 5.0.x beta can be tested in order to get enough feedback before releasing it. Do you think it is something you might be interested in?

2 bugs remain unresolved in traccar for android
1- a blank screen when traccar is first installed and the user taps on a tag to configure traccar with deeplinking before granting traccar location access. At some point after traccar opens it shows a blank screen and the user will have no idea what is happening and the only way to get past the blank screen is when the user gives traccar access to location even when in the background. A prompt advising the user to enable constant location access in the background will be better than a blank screen. 2- every once in a while traccar on almost all of my Android devices whether samsung , Xiaomi, pixel experience rom, etc will end up having the gps stuck constantly on even while being stationary for days. I don't know what causes the bug but what I know is that everytime it happens the only way to fix it is to uninstall play services and clear the play store's data and uninstall traccar then re update the play store and play services and reinstalling traccar. Noting that on all devices affected they are always in highest accuracy mode. It happens after weeks so I am not sure what is the trigger honestly for the bug. This obviously leads to excessive battery usage having the gps constantly on.
