Cannot connect TK103B to my traccar server

Hi Guys,

I've just bought my TK103B and I've wired it in, I've sent some sms codes to check the imei number and I sent an SMS to connect it to my server:

adminip12345 mydomain 8082 (I actually used my domain) - it then replied with adminip ok.
I've gone into the traccar server and added the imei number as a device - however its not showing as online at all.

I've attempted to check the logs but they are completely in chinese and I cannot read them (c:\program files\traccar\logs)

Any ideas what I've missed?

Open logs with a good text editor, not notepad. I would recommend to install notepad++.

Am I meant to be setting the port as 5001 (or what ever my clone needs to use) rather than the traccar port?
eg: adminip12345 mydomain 5001

Yes, of course you need to use correct device port.

ah! I was thinking it was the binking traccar port that I use to access the admin panel!

I've just checked the logs again using notepad++ and I get a lot of these

Which is the client on my iphone but I'm getting no connections at all from the TK103B logging at the moment, I'm assuming I just work my way through the ports :)

ok, so I've tried 5001, 5002, 5003, 5006, 5013, 5023, 5036, 5093 - nothing showing in the logs and I've made sure the ports are all open.

I think so, I've checked the logs and all I'm getting now is this (I've stopped my ios client too)

so I'm assuming as nothing is making a connection I'm missing something - I've tried all the ports listed for the chinese clones, but still no connection

oh, I sent an SMS saying:

check123456 and got:

GSM Signal:23
APN:Everywhere (which is what the sim supplier says it is)
IP: my static ip address followed by the last port i tried

If you don't see any HEX messages, it means that server hasn't received anything from your device.

hmmm, I just don't know what else to try, I've emailed the supplier to see if they know what port to use, cos otherwise I'm just trying:

adminip123456 track.mydomain.net 5001

and all the other ports but its just not communicating - ive checked all the ports are open using the port checker on here

oh wow, so it actually has to be the IP address, I cant use track.mydomain.net - I have to use the ip!!! Now its working fine!!!
