I use geofence enter/exit events to record the time that a car enters and exits a polygon geofence. No problem with that for a long time now
Recently and after a driver reported to me, I watched that there was two cases that the geofenceEnter or Exit event reported a point that is not the right one! I checked that from the report of the device following point by point the track and see that enter and exit point. The time difference was 1 min in one case and 30 min in the other!
Usally, I have no problem and the procedure is quite accurate. Just happend only 2 times in a total of lets say 500 observations!
I see its difficult to explain without the real data, but just in the case you might have noticed some problem about the algorithm for enter/exit a geofence or someone has reported some similar situation.
Any comment on that?
