GPS Tracker TK-103b - Invalid data?

Sander3 years ago

Hi,

I installed the Traccar software on a VPS server and opened the correct ports in the firewall.

I have been able to configure the GPS tracker via SMS and I see data coming in via the log of the Traccar server.
For example:

2021-04-29 10:05:07 INFO: [ca2d1005] connected
2021-04-29 10:05:07 INFO: [ca2d1005: tk103 < 188.206.99.164] HEX: 78780d01035288707316165900035d0f0d0a
2021-04-29 10:05:17 INFO: [ca2d1005] disconnected

But the protocol is not recognized. I have tried these ports:
5001
5002
5006
5013
5015
5023

All showing the same HEX code.

I use SIMYO as provider (Netherlands). Pincode is removed and communication is working, because SMS en GPRS data is received.

Can someone help me get the GPS working on Traccar. What am I doing wrong? Perhaps additional settings are required on the GPS tracker via SMS?

Finally: The GPS sends data every approximately 3 minutes.

Thanks in advance!

It's probably either GT06 or Topin protocol.

Hi Anton,

I tested both. The GT06 protocol works!
(port 5023)

Thank you very much!

I thought you already tried port 5023 before.

I have tested port by port.
I looked back at the log. I don't see the GT06 protocol there. Apparently I did not test the last port in my list (port 5023). Sorry, I should have paid more attention.

Hopefully this forum item will help others in the future. Do you have a Chinese clone GPS tracker? Then check the page below and test all ports to the end of the list! Port 5001 t/m 5015 will give the same HEX code. Test through to the last port on that list. https://www.traccar.org/clones/

Thanks again Anton. Have a nice day!

"Port 5001 t/m 5015 will give the same HEX code. "

It shows the raw HEX code the device is sending.
The "drivers" on the different ports then interprets the data differently.
