how to "generate" a file to use for a map that shows the driven way
What kind of file are you looking for specifically?
any kind of file that will lead me to my goal. Or maybe I just don't know how to get to my goal?
I am just started with my traccar server and clients ;-)
Traccar can already show you the map, so I'm not sure what the goal is.
here you go....maybe I just have no clou how to set it up.
Trying to explain my goal further:
E:G: I am moving from a location to x locations and back. Therefore traccar will og different geo location positions.
google MAP with exported file will show me "only" the x waypoints. I am looking for a map that shows me the driven way. Like I am taking the street X1 from home to location A. I would like to see this on the MAP as a driven way like a blue line on the street X1 from home to location A. Like a navigation system that shows to way to follow or so.
Can I achieve this with traccar server settings?

Can you explain what you're talking about here. We don't have any Google Map exports.
if I export in traccar under reports an excel.xlsx I can upload it to a google map.
How do you upload Excel into Google Maps?
- edit excel file = remove first 7 colums so I only have entries from blue line downwards
- brows to GOOGLE MY MAPS
- new MAPS
- import file
- select latitude/longitude
- select any eg. altitude
et voila I do have several waypoints shown up on my map
I see. You should probably figure out what format Google expects to display a route. It's not really something specific to Traccar.
ok I see. Finally to say: Traccar its own can't display a route on the MAP tab.

First of all, it can, but only as a trail. But there are other places where we do display a route.
would you please let me know how to set up a trail or display route?
There's a replay option. And in the new version you will also be able to see it in the route and trips reports.

I am using my own traccar server and the traccar client on my Android phone.
I was able to export the report as an .xlsx file and import it in google maps. It shows up the waypoints.
What I am looking for ist to have the waypoints connected that shows me the driven way. Hope I explained it to understand what is my goal?
