Implement Oracle Database on Traccar

Hi Traccar Team and Community,

I am currently using Traccar and would like to integrate it with an Oracle Database instead of the default database options (like MySQL or PostgreSQL). I would appreciate your guidance on the following:

  1. Does Traccar officially support Oracle as a database backend?

  2. If yes, what are the configuration steps to connect Traccar with Oracle?

  3. Are there any known issues or limitations when using Oracle with Traccar?

  4. Is there any sample configuration (default.xml or traccar.xml) available for Oracle DB?

Any advice, documentation links, or community experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Why would you actually like to do that, while having no experience with it. And lets say, having troubles later?

In theory Oracle should be supported, but it's not something we regularly test with.

Hi everyone,
I’m exploring the possibility of integrating Oracle Database with Traccar, but I noticed that Oracle isn’t officially supported.

Before I dive in or try custom solutions, I wanted to ask:

  1. Has anyone recently tried using Oracle with the latest version of Traccar?
  2. Are there any recent guides, discussions, or community posts on this topic?

If someone has managed to get it working, I’d appreciate any tips, configurations, or compatibility notes.

Thanks in advance!

Why dont you shutup and just wait. I see your same question in other unrelated topic also. Apperently no one is interested in Oracle. Why should they if it works great with mysql

As I said earlier, it should be supported.
