Hello everyone,
we are a team of 4 Computer Engineering students of the University of Padua, in Northern Italy.
We are currently required to write a paper about open source software planning, development and metrics.
Among all the projects that respected the requirements, we have chosen to focus on Traccar server.
We have looked on the internet to get an insight on the project and we gathered some useful information, but we would like to ask you a few questions that would really help us with our research (and we would be very grateful).
We would like to know more about software development (i.e., which methodology you used, how you organized the work, development issues...), something about the software planning and software maintenance.
Furthermore, we would like to know why you decided to make the project Open Source from 2.0 version.
Kind regards

It was always open source.
Hello Anton,
I'm sorry but maybe I've misunderstood your interview for OpenCage Blog, in which you said "I started writing server code back in 2009 and then decided to make it open source in early 2010." Can we use that interview as a reliable reference?
Can you please answer to our few question to help us complete our project?
Thank you in advance.
