Latest Traccar Client version does not update real location on latest Android OS.

Have you checked logs? Is the state stationary?

I already downladed the geolocation log .gz but it seems corrupted and unable to extract to view.

No. It is a constant moving position from work to home location and it does not get updated at Traccar server.

Latest Traccar Client seems to have fixed the frozen stationary location issue after I deleted the old device id profile at Traccar Server.

And created a new device id after reinstalling the new Traccar Client to obtain the newly system generated id and registering it into the new device profile at Traccar server.

Now I can remotely issue command to start tracking of the Android client or stop tracking remotely via server. Very useful if device is misplaced and need to be located remotely.

Problem resolved finally. Great solutions.

After thru setup and configuration proof of concept testing plus analysis. The only settings for Traccar Client which updates realtime is Highest settings.

Unfortunately the High settings lack a lot and does not update correctly until few kilometers away update lapses making tracking unreliable. I guess the google intergration does not perform well as intended by design.

I am sharing my Traccar Client settings for others to try which work wonderfully like a regular hardware tracker behaviour.

It seems the problem still persist as there is no coordinates update shown at TracCar server but Fix Time, Speed, Motion, Battery Level, Total Distance attributes has update from the Traccar client. Not Address attribute no updates.

What could be wrong. All permission is already granted to Traccar client Android latest version.

Strangely when I send command Factory Default followed by Stop Reporting then Priodic Reporting command.

The location coordinates and address attributes suddenly receives updates real time again.

What could be the bugs?

Traccar Client version 9.7.17 seems to have fixed the stop reporting GPS location using Highest profile.

I could now issue command via Traccar Server for constant Periodic Reporting updates remotely.

Strangely it work a few hours ago when I issue the command when he is at home via WiFi connection.

The remote command works flawlessly. But just now as he leaves the house to work the remote command is not responding.

I try sending the remote command to Periodic Reporting when his phone is on mobile data plan and it does not want respond and does not come online.

Any idea what is happening on Traccar Client not responding to remote command when switch to mobile data from home WiFi connection?

This remote function is important during emergency events.

Oops my mistake. His Android phone Traccar client just reported back to our privately hosted Traccar server but only after 15 minutes interval from the moment I send out the remote command.

Is there a heart beat or watch dog interval mechanism your have setup the Traccar client to check the Traccar server after every 15 minutes for this remote command function to work?

There might be some delay for notifications on Google's side.

Noted on the intergration mechanism. Maybe just a logic idea suggestions.

If you think it is best to force update on the latest location updates once user issue remote command to send single reporting or periodic reporting.

Since fix time is already seen updated by the client already. Only data lacking is current updated location is still outdated.

This mechanism is useful for emergency cases where location is critical to locate the lost client which is the missed placed phone.

I have issue the Priodic Reporting one hour ago and the Traccar client have moved away from his office location as seen in the fixed time updates but it is the old location coordinates which is still not updated since an hour ago.

Could this be a bug in Google physical reporting and location reporting mechanism bugs even full permission is granted already.

Strangely even on the phone physically, I click on the Send Location button on Traccar client.

It still did not update the actual real time coordinates as expected.

There is an inconsistency in Traccar client using Google Physical activity features to facilitate activity attribute in Traccar server.
