migrate 4.10 to 5.7
I have just migrated from 4.10 to 5.7.
After installing and copying "traccar.xml" from 4.10 to new 5.7 I have started traccar: "sudo systemctl start traccar"
Looking at logs file database was migrated to new version and server was started.
What has suprised to me wen I tried to log on website it allows register new user only, I could not logged in using old admin user.
Looking then at the logfile I have noticed that all devices are also lost and submited GPS datas was not resolved by server with message "unknown device".
What wsa wrong with my migration?
Sounds like you've lost the database data somehow.
I have restored database from backup and I have tried again but firstly I have upgaded to 5.0 version. Then I have started Traccar Server.
After upgraiding to 5.0 everything works ok. Then from 5.0 I have upgraded to 5.7 and again everyting as fine.
Maybe there is a problem with upgrading from 4.10 directly to 5.7? Upgrading through 5.0 wan without any problems.
You should be able to upgrade directly.
