We've been doing some tweaking of Traccar report.trip.minimalParkingDuration for a customer who needs to track delivery stops for their trucks.
Even though we've set the Traccar attribute (as above) to 120 seconds, is it correct to say that I should also be collecting records more frequently than this on the tracker, so that Traccar has enough data to accurately detect and calculate a stop. For example - noting that I am using Teltonika trackers - I am only collecting records when not moving every 120 seconds, which would obviously be too far apart.
I was briefly using report.trip.useIgnition as well but their delivery drivers often don't stop the engine for short deliveries and I don't want the state of ignition to alter the data in any way (however, I am not 100% sure on whether the ignition attribute is an AND or an OR).
Anyway I guess all I'm looking for is a confirmation that yes, I need to be ensuring that Traccar gets enough data within the report.trip.minimalParkingDuration window to be accurate.
You don't really need to have more data, but of course more data will probably make it more accurate.
