Are you using iOS or Android? The server shouldn't change, but yes, there's no server selection screen anymore. You just land on the login screen. There should be a tooltip on the server change button though.
Of course, we're talking about the official version from the Android Play Store.
The server changes in many cases that I know about from people who installed the update. I tested it on my own phone and after the update I also saw the login prompt and the set server was the demo server.
That's not intended, but you should still be able to change it.
Same issue, all my customers call-me because cant login anymore , i have to sent to whatsapp to anyone who call instructions about how to reinstall and change server address .
I dont see any benefit from this traccar manager update , just thousants frustrated peoples losting time and temporar losting access to tracking system .

Today i helped 26 costumers to change the address of the server on the Traccar Manager .
The last Traccar Manager dont have button for confirming the changes , so most of costumers cant change the address from demo.traccar.org to other server address .
Traccar manager need a new update to make easyer changing the server .
The issue with the change back to demo should already be fixed in version 5.0.1.
As for making it easier to change, I believe it is already pretty easy. If you have some specific suggestions, happy to hear.

yes same issue here , after update de traccar manager lost the configuration , we have to chance de server again , and no button to confirm

The new vesion of Traccar Manager have now SAVE button to confirm changes .
People have phones who do auto update for all applications including Traccar Manager .
The bigest issue is this : After updating the Traccar Manager they cant login . After update data stored before update is gone : server settings, user ,password .
Doing this update You disrupt access for thousants of users , and you put at work all traccar servers administrators to explain and give informations to the users about how to restore access to the tracking system via Traccar Manager .
I want to know if traccar team created this issue to force servers administrators to pay some money to traccar team .

A manual change of the server is required, but it is not visible at first glance and users try to enter a login and password that, for obvious reasons, do not work because the server is incorrect.
