server3.14 - automatic deletion of old records does not work!
Any modifications should be done in traccar.xml as it clearly says, but default.xml will work as well.
Support documentation on this site shows:
database.historyDays
as the option, but a google search shows
database.positionsHistoryDays
Is the support documentation on this site for an earlier version?

No, there is only documentation for the latest release. For older version you should check the source code or find some old forum thread/github issue.
