TK102_v3

ben7 years ago

Hi,
I have what appears to be a TK102_v3 (according to the silkscreen)
When set to use GPRS mode, it periodically sends:

(087074074901BP00HSO)

Which seems to be a heartbeat with a missing device ID

I have also seen it send:

(087074074901BR00170924A5126.5149N00234.8107W000.1084107000.00,00000000L00000000)

Which appears to be a login request - but can't reliably reproduce when this is sent. COnfusingly, I would always expect the above before a handshake...?

To the IP / port configured. This seems to fit the protocol for TK103 more than TK102...? However, it also looks like a heartbeat without a device ID, which is confusing.

Any attempt to respond to the hearbeat stops any subsequent messages being sent until the connection is closed and reopened, suggesting that my response was not what was expected....

Any thoughts? Either I am getting the protocol wrong, or the protocol isn't what I thought...

Ah yes - looking at the protocol here:

it makes sense now. I know that, using this device, I can get a reading of GSM and battery level by sending check<password> over SMS
As far as I can tell, this data is not exposed for this device over a TCP connection - is this correct?

Looks like it's not.
