Traccar for circiutrace / passing waypoints

Hi. I was thinking if it would be possible to use traccar to count the passings of a waypoint (small geofence?) within a circuit race? Any ideas how to accomplish it?

You would definitely have to customize the code for it.

What about setting geofencing waypoints and then loading the events via api to a seperate app? Should it detect all geofence passings? I expect to be a valid geofence event the device have to send a position point inside the fence? A passing with position before and after will not be detected?

If there's a point inside the geofence, you will of course have events.
