How does Traccar Manager use DNS? Is the server IP associated with the name saved in any way?
I performed a test server switch. The server name is in DNS with a 60-second TTL. I changed the IP address for the Traccar Server name on the DNS server. After a moment, the name resolved to the new IP. On both computer and phone, entering the name in browsers opened Traccar from the new server.
The problem is with Traccar Manager, which kept connecting to the old server. Clearing the application data didn't help – after re-entering the name, it still connected to the old server. Even uninstalling and reinstalling app didn't help. Only after some time did it start connecting to the new server... How exactly does this work, and what is the cause ? How can I efficiently perform a server switch?
