Traccar web compatibility
You should use matching backend and web. Otherwise you could have some hard to predict issues.

I would not want to realize that i compiled the wrong thing after putting through the update
I don't understand the question. The zip package contains compiled code, not source.

We are currently on an older version of Traccar and we wish to upgrade to v6.2 (for personal reasons). We would like to recompile the web app and make a few changes. Does the latest web app work with older version like v6.2? The web app folder of the older version download is empty
