We are an airport Shuttle company and in need of a GPS tracking system or app that can track vehicles and send a text link to our customers for them to see the vehicles progress. Traccar seems to be close to what we need but some custom development may be necessary. We use driver tablets so installing the client app on those and operating or using a hosted server is not an issue. In the Traccar computer interface I can can share a device and create a link to email or text but we can have up to 500-600 unique passengers a day on up to 30 or more routes a day. In some cases passengers on one route may be split to 2-3 different vehicles depending on capacity. Vehicles will also run several routes a day. Manually managing sending out the links is not practical but we are able to export dispatch data that would contain name, email, phone number, vehicle, route or tablet ID in either CSV or xml format. Any savvy developers here that might be able to take on a project like this?
I would recommend just using Traccar API to generate links. That way you can automatically handle cases where a link should have multiple devices.
