Using parameter io196 for driver identification

Andreas9 months ago

Hello,

Can you please direct me, how I can perform driver identification using parameter io196?

i.e. We know that io196 has a number i.e. 10000020566573 and I do know that this number corresponds to a certain driver i.e. John Smith.
How can this be achieved in traccar?

Thanks a lot!

You need to convert it into the driver id using computed attributes.

Thanks for the fast reply.
In computed attributes what expression and type shall I use?

I tried typing in expression: io196 but it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

Hi!
Back to this topic again.

I have managed to related the parameter with a Computer Atttibute (DriverID) and I now have the required number which corresponds to a driver.

Please see the attached Driver Setup Screenshot:

Can you please direct me as to where shall I enter this ID number and where the Computer Attribute (I have tried different option but I was not successful)?

What is to be entered in the Identifier: the Computer Attribute or the number corresponding to the Driver?
or
Does the number needs to be entered in the DriverID Attribute (as input in the screenshot example)?

Thanks
Best regards
Andreas

The attribute should be "Driver Unique Id". The expression should be your driver id in double quotes.

Thanks for the fast reply.
I have changed the attribute to be "Driver Unique Id" please see screenshot of Computer Attribute received

I have then set the Driver using both "Driver Unique Id" and "driverUniqueId" please see screenshot below:

However, I still cannot receive the name of the driver (Driver4). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Best regards

Your driver configurable makes no sense. You driver id should go into the id field and you don't need any driver attributes.

Hi,
Thanks for the support.

I have tried your suggestion entering the driver id in Identifier field (both with quotes and without quotes), however, I still cannot see the Name of the Driver (which has been added in that particular device as Driver0). Please see setup screenshot.

Is there any other setting that I am missing?
Thanks

Where do you expect to see the driver name?

Andreas8 months ago

In More Details, where the attributes are displayed. i.e. in place of the driver Id, in Driver Unique I'd.

Am I wrong?

If my settings are ok where can I see the driver name?

Thanks

Anton Tananaev8 months ago

It won't show there.

Where can I see the driver name?

Thanks

I don't remember exactly. Might be in reports. But the main usage for driver configuration is to have events when driver changes.

I will check in the reports.

Thanks!

Hello Andreas,

Did you manage to find a solution for the driver id?
I'm in the same situation at the moment.

Thanks!
