When you login as admin what do you see under / Settings / Preferences / Info ?
At the bottom of the Prefences page where it shows Info.
There it is - 6.2 -- THANK YOU!
Under Devices. Sounds, and "Token" - which I will GUESS is to generate API access keys?
Wish I could remember where in the doc it said it's under "About" in the menu (which is the standard tag to use).
But now, are there any changelogs so I can evaluate if I should risk upgrading my server to any given release?
Wish somebody that knew JSX and the other prereqs now required to implement a simple tooltip would do that.
I'd offer, but I'm ORIGINAL (1994) HTML when it was easy to do that stuff. This web code is an entirely different animal.
You can check blog posts. We publish one for each major release.
I've searched for "changelog" - no joy.
Ah - you hide it well.
It's NOT in the "Resources" tab of the top menu.
But it IS in "Community" in the footer.
Also, I guess if it was me, I would rename it something like "Release Announcements" or "Changelogs".
Would it be possible to upgrade from version 6.2 or 6.4 to the current version in one go?
I have been all over web UI & /opt/traccar (other than inspecting a year's worth of logs) trying to find what version I'm running.
I've got an idea from the unmodified file timestamps, but nothing definitive.
I read something that said the "About button" on the server menu has it. I'd bet it does - except there's not "About" in the admin account.
Also, if there's any changelogs for any of the software, I can't find them. Not here, not the main site, not in github.
I think Traccar is great, which means the programmers are great, so "all of the above" MUST exist, right?
But where? What am I missing?
