Not really. What you can try to do is use old installer and then overwrite files using latest manual installer. This way you get a proper service and latest version.
Thanks Anton. I just followed steps from https://www.traccar.org/build/ and was able to get it to work.

I am trying to set up the local server on Mac MoJave.
I see the self installing has now been discontinued.
Are there any detailed stops to install the server now on Mac.
