I have a bunch of push to talk cellular devices that I want to use traccar to track as we use that for other devices as well. I installed the traccar apk without any issues and have configured it for my server (and tried the demo servers). When I click on the status toggle I can see in the client status screen "Service started and Network online" but that is all. I never see any location attempts on the server. Does the client still work with Android 5.1 or not? I don't have app permissions enabled so I know it has access to the location data.
If you were able to install it, it should work. If you don't see location updates on the status screen, it means Android system doesn't provide any location data. Try different accuracy modes.
