Client App can't connect to the server

JoeRaid5 years ago

I have the server up and running. I'm able to access the web interface through my local network IP address 192.168.1.82:80 (both through my PC and my phone browser). The client app is installed and configured with the same address. I get "Location update" and then "Send failure" on the status page and the web interface shows device offline. The client is also connected to the same network and the Ubuntu firewall is completely disabled. Is the IP for the web interface even the same as the update server? The only IP address configuration I found in the xml file was that of the web interface so perhaps I'm missing something.

Port for Traccar Client is 5055.

So http://192.168.1.82:5055 as the server url in the client should work? Because I'm having the same problem. I don't see any packets using Wireshark, does this say something?

The client application does not connect to the server, I already have port 5055 open. Should I open any other port on the server?

Do you have any errors or warnings in your traccar server log? Could you post them if you have any?
If you have no log entries regarding this device in traccar server log and your server firewall is disabled then it's most probably client configuration error.

I don't think there's anything in the logs. Also I already tweaked the config as per @Anton's suggestion (to port 5055) yet it still doesn't seem to work. I don't even see any packets from the client to the the specified address (192.168.1.82) even thought they can ping without problems.
